CONTAMINATION IN THE WATER
Legionella, pseudomonas and other bacteria
Water temperatures in the range of 20 to 55 °C and a lack of water circulation are mostly responsible for an increased number of germs in the water.
If water outlets are used too seldom, risky water temperatures arise, which promote contamination with legionella, pseudomonads or other bacteria.
Stagnant water also occurs in large hot water storage tanks or pipelines and the organisms have enough time to grow. Biofilms form, the ideal breeding ground for pathogens.
